2016 Riverdale Pilot Project Pictures

In 2016 RiverSides provided fifteen households in the Toronto Riverdale neighbourhood with automated rain barrels.

We installed them, and provided instructions and help on how to use them. (For a step-by-step tour of the installations and to see some features of the automated barrels, click here.) We tracked their use over a five-month period and received great feedback from the householders. Here’s the summary of what we found.

Click on a photo for a closer view of some of the rain barrels we installed and tracked for the pilot project.

Those involved in the Toronto RainCAP rain barrel pilot project have been very happy with the installations!
Michael Albanese from Avesi and RainCAP pilot participant David Oved give it a thumbs up.

Are you interested in having this system for your household use?
We’d be happy to help you divert rainwater away from the costly infrastructure of your municipal sewer system … and into your own garden!
