The Environmental Cost of Stormwater

The impacts of stormwater to the environment can be devastating.   Excessive runoff from impermeable surfaces carries pollutants into nearby water bodies, which can kill and weaken the plants and animals that rely on these water bodies for survival.  This directly affects the quality of life for people who live in these areas.   Pollution of our rivers and lakes leads to fewer recreational opportunities, potentially contaminated drinking water and contributes to the spread of disease.
